Donaldson Coolant Filters: Cooling systems are typically partial flow (by-pass) filters, with less than 10% of coolant flowing through the filter. We offer a range of Donaldson filters designed to work in a variety of operating environments and maintenance schedules. High Efficency Particular Arresting filters. HEPA Filters are able to trap as much as 99.9% of contaminates, depending on the filter's MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) ratings. The highest MERV rating of 16 is the most efficient. The lowest MERV rating of 1-4 has the lowest efficiency rate. HEPA filters are composed of a mat of randomly arranged fibers.[16] The fibers are typically composed of polypropylene or fiberglass with diameters between 0.5 and 2.0 micrometers. Most of the time, these filters are composed of tangled bundles of fine fibers. These fibers create a narrow convoluted pathway through which air passes. When the largest particles are passing through this pathway, the bundles of fibers behave like a kitchen sieve which physically blocks the particles from passing through. Oil Caps are designed to cover the opening used to fill or top up the engine oil supply. Tridon Oil caps are manufactured using either metal, plastic or rubber design depending on the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
